We follow this week where we left the past one, with the non-verbal communication, so, we were talking about the importance of looking at the person to the eyes when you´re talking to him, today we are going to talk about some different aspects of communication.
When we talk we have to make gestures, so that our communication is effective, but we have to make gestures with the body also, we should make our whole body talk. What it´s not very common to know is that the gestures should be smaller if the group we´re talking to is small, and increase the gestures with bigger audiences.
Another important thing is that we should send understandable messages, so that people couldn´t misunderstand them, don´t send mixed messages, to do so you have to make your words, facial expressions and tone match, you can´t discipline someone if you´re smiling at the same time. So you have to be aware about what your body is saying, open stances means that your are open to what somebody could tell you and that you´re approachable, these kind of stances could make a difficult conversation to develop easier.
